In cooperation with the Croatian Monetary Institute, the Croatian National Bank issued a commemorative gold coin marking the 150th birth anniversary of Andrija Mohorovičić, a prominent scientist in the field of meteorology and seismology, one of the greatest Croatian scientists and, in the opinion of geophysicists worldwide, a leading figure of seismology in the 20th century.

Commemorative gold coins are made in a special minting technique that achieves the quality of a polished plate.
